யாழ்ப்பாணம் - செம்மணி மனிதப் புதைகுழியின் இன்றைய அகழ்வின்போது மனித என்புத் தொகுதிகள் அடையாளம் காணப்பட்ட பகுதியில் என்புத் தொகுதி ஒன்றிற்கு அருகில் ஆடை, சிறிய கண்ணாடி வளையல்கள், ஆங்கில எழுத்துக்கள் பொறிக்கப்பட்ட நீலநிற துணி கைப்பைஒன்றும் அடையாளம் காணப்பட்டமை குறிப்பிடதக்கது. குறித்த துணி கைப்பையை ஒத்த புத்தக கைப்பைகள் முன்னர் வடக்கு கிழக்கு பகுதிகளில் அரச சார்பற்ற தொண்டு நிறுவனங்களால் நிவாரனமாக பாடசாலை மாணவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டிருந்தமை குறிப்பிடதக்கது.

செம்மணி மனிதப் புதைகுழியில் இதுவரை மொத்தமாக 33 மனித என்புத் தொகுதிகள் அடையாளம் காணப்பட்டுள்ளன.

During today’s excavation at the Jaffna Chemmani human mass grave, alongside the newly identified set of human skeletal remains,clothing and a cloth bag  was also discovered near one of the skeletons. It is noteworthy that similar cloth bags were previously distributed as relief to school students by non-governmental organizations in the Northern and Eastern regions.

So far, a total of 33 human skeletal remains have been identified at the Chemmani human mass grave.
