Maldivian arrested attempting to smuggle out foreign currency

A Maldivian national was arrested at the Bandaranayaka International Airport attempting to smuggle out foreign currency to Thailand.

The suspect had 25,000 US Dollars in his possession when nabbed by Customs officials.

Further investigations are currently underway.
