Issues of the Tamils Will be discussed with Modi

Tamil National Alliance and Opposition Leader, R. Sampanthan, says that the issues of the Tamil people should be discussed at the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrives in Sri Lanka on 11 May to participate in the UN International Wesak celebration.

During his visit to Sri Lanka, Prime Minister Modi will meet the leaders of various political parties. Sampanthan said that the Indian National Consulate is also engaged in discussions with the Indian Embassy and Modi's meeting with the TNA would most likely be on 12 May. The Tamil people will be relieved on the day their lands are released, the Tamil political prisoners are release and news is released on what has happened to those who involuntarily disappeared, Sampanthan said.
